“If letting go, if letting people and things work themselves out in the way that they needed to without your help was the most important thing, then it was also the hardest.”—Deb Caletti, The Six Rules of Maybe
“Your life is a gift, accept it. No matter how screwed up or painful it seems to be. Some things are going to work out as if they were destined to happen…as if they were just meant to be.”— Grey’s Anatomy
“God. I’ve never really believed in God. In fact, I spent a lot of time and energy trying to disapprove that God exists. But I hope, that you are able to believe in God. Because the thing that I’ve come to realize, sweetheart, is that it just doesn’t matter if God exists or not. The important thing is for you to believe in something. Because I promise you, that belief will keep you warm at night. And I want you to feel safe always.”—Dawson’s Creek (finale)
In whatever situation you’re in, it’s so easy to fall into a miserable rut. Yes, I admit. Being sad and mopey is easier to deal with. Feeling sorry for yourself. It’s miserable but it’s easier to deal with. But what’s the point? Where’s the quality of life? So choose ‘happy’.
